The Kitchen is the Heart of the Haus (Home)

Our kitchen, the heart of our home. It was what started the design process for our entire home. It all started with the beautiful Matte Black La Cornue range. I fell in love with it years ago on Pinterest, and was a must have. We knew we wanted a mostly white kitchen for the beautiful contrast it would have against the black range. But every space needs warmth, and thats where the beams, and white oak island came in. Our builder Rippy homes absolutely nailed the finish on the beams. They were hand scraped and aged on site. Pretty dang cool.

One of the most asked questions about our kitchen is the brick back splash. My original inspiration came from Amber Fillerups beautiful brick backsplash. The team at Rippy Homes nailed this. I love the texture and character it brings to our kitchen. It makes the brand new kitchen feel lived in, and old. I love older homes with character, and the brick was the perfect addition.

Our pendants, are the MOST asked about item in our home. They have been discontinued and I've been searching high and low for a good dupe. I have found a couple good options and will link them below.
