How To: Finding the Right Pillow Size

I love decorative pillows, it’s one of my favorite ways to bring character & coziness to a space. But choosing the correct sizes for your bed, or sofa can be a tricky task. Use this guide to help you choose the correct size pillows for your sofas and bed. You can customize these all a little depending on the sizes your desired pillow covers are available in, and also the desired look you are after. I like to have extra pillows for coziness.

A big pillow tip is to never skimp on your pillow insert. A good quality pillow insert can make such a huge difference. My favorite inserts are available here and come in a variety of sizes. I love the synthetic down, as there are never any feathers popping through but you still get that good “chop” you always see.

I also like to size up on my inserts. If my pillow cover is 20'“x20” then a buy a 22”x22” insert. Always size up 1’’-2”, 2” preferably.
